[eDSS] – Classification of the degree of clinical status and prediction of therapy in patients with viral infections: COVID-19 case
Research and development project that aims to develop a clinical decision-making system for the classification of the degree of the clinical picture and prediction of therapy in patients with viral infections. The research component of the project refers to determining the degree of influence of certain diagnostic parameters on the classification of the viral disease COVID-19, and envisages therapies in patients with regard to the degree of the clinical picture of the disease. This project is a continuation of the work of researchers from the Faculty of Pharmacy who received the finance by the ministry in the previous period.
The planned duration of the project is 24 months, and the project team consists of 13 members, of which 5 researchers from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Sarajevo, 1 researcher from the business sector with experience in the health sector and 2 researchers from the University of Warwick, UK and Western University.
Project partners
The project is defined in the area of development of expert systems based on artificial intelligence, which will be an integral part of future health care systems. The topic of the project is the improvement of diagnostic procedures for the early classification of the degree of clinical picture in the case of viral infection of COVID-19.
